International Rare Disease Day 2026: Picnic in the Park

We hosted our 2nd Picnic in the Park, celebrating International Rare Disease Day on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

This is a wonderful opportunity to put rare diseases, like Cystinosis, in the spotlight and to raise awareness.

We are excited to see that we have had double the amount of people (74) that joined us this year vs 2025.

A big thank you to the Friends of the Foundation for your support.

FUNDS

The funds raised will go towards food vouchers for our families in June 2026.
Through our Food Voucher Project, we provide grocery vouchers twice annually to help ease the financial burden on families.

Each family receives:
R2 000 per family with 2x cystinotic children
R1 500 per family with 1x cystinotic child
